Step by Step Quality Insurance Procedures
1. Commitment to Quality from the Source
At Northwest, quality control begins with the meticulous selection of deposits and continues throughout the mining process. Every precaution is taken during handling, transportation, and storage to prevent any contamination.
2. On-Site Geological Monitoring
Our geologists regularly assess the talc deposits in situ to monitor any geological or mineralogical changes. This ongoing evaluation ensures that only the highest quality ore is mined and processed.
3. Selective Mining and Initial Sorting
Talc is selectively mined in open pits, where it is hand-picked and classified into granulometric classes at the mine depot. This raw material is then sent to our Peshawar facility for further processing.
4. Rigorous Testing and Screening
Upon arrival at our Peshawar warehouse, each batch undergoes systematic testing for whiteness and Loss on Ignition (LOI) by our Quality Control team. Additional asbestos and chemical analyses are conducted by external labs to ensure compliance with the highest standards.
